Episode Nine - A Plague on All Your Houses

In the second part of our look at the bubonic plague in Norwich, we look at Queen Elizabeth I's visit in 1548. Heralded as the grandest, most extravagant event in Norwich's history up to that point, the aftermath would see the city torn apart with disease. How did this end up in a scene of horror in Augustine Steward House in Tombland, and what was visited on the family therein? Find out now.

Episode Eight - Hell Comes to Norwich (Part One)

In this episode we start our two part look at the gruesome stories behind Norfolk's brush with almost total annihilation in 1349. The country was ravaged by bubonic plague, and the people of Norwich rushed to finish the city walls that may not have only made them safe from disease, but given them strength to rival London as England's capital city. What went wrong? Find out in this episode, and stay tuned for part two, when we see how things can not only always get worse, but how a whole city can turn into a living Hell.

Hallowed Histories is glad to welcome back Tony Buckingham from the East Anglian UFO group for another discussion of all things extraterrestrial. This time we're not straying too far, and heading for an airbase in Suffolk, where the legendary 'Rendlesham Incident' occurred in 1980. Episode Seven - Children of the Wolf Pit

In this episode we take a look at the life and strange times of two children who crawled out of a pit in 12th century Suffolk. Where they came from remains a mystery that no-one has been able to explain. The most curious factor was the colour of the their skin - bright green. Were they aliens? Fairies? Refugees? Or something altogether different?

Hallowed Histories Extra - Interview with Chloe McMinn and Emily Taithe

As a companion piece to our last podcast, we present an interview with crusading documentarians Chloe McMinn and Emily Taithe. They were kind enough to come into the Hallowed Histories studio to add background to the disturbing series of mutilations and disappearances that have plagued the campus recently. We're hoping to show their documentary on our site pretty soon, so keep an eye on hallowed-histories.org.

We're also now on Spotify! Just search 'hallowed histories'.

Episode Three - An American Werewolf in Cambridgeshire

In the latest episode of the Hallowed Histories podcast, we catch a dose of full moon fever and head down to RAF Alconbury in the wilds of Cambridgeshire. The infamous 'Hard Stand Monster' was apparently prowling this area during the 1970s, scaring and tearing up the airforce base. We look at what made these tales of lycanthropes and monsters so attractive to the men who served there under the full East Anglian moon.
